Jon Lanhart
Maintenance Superintendent
Jon Lanhart joined IFAS Facilities Planning and Operations in 2001 and currently serves as a Maintenance Superintendent. In this role, he takes a comprehensive approach to building maintenance, overseeing both operational functions - such as systems maintenance and vendor-coordinated repairs - as well as ensuring that building aesthetics and modifications support user efficiency. He leads a team of nine dedicated professionals who work collaboratively to maintain and enhance the functionality, appearance, and overall performance of IFAS facilities.
With more than 24 years of hands-on experience in electrical systems, building automation, and facilities maintenance, Jon brings a wealth of practical knowledge and a proven ability to solve complex challenges. One of his most notable accomplishments has been extending the service life of chillers across the state - from an average of less than eight years to as many as 19 years - demonstrating his commitment to innovative problem-solving and operational excellence.
Beyond his professional role, Jon enjoys golfing, hiking, and fishing.
